Maybe you're not sure what to do... Or maybe you feel like you've tried everything you can think of to help your child read and understand - and gotten nowhere.
Now you're left wondering, "What can I do to help my child?"
Don't wait - Online reading tutoring could be just what your child needs.
Imagine - Tailored and engaging instruction and flexible scheduling.
Plus, your child will have the ability to work without any peer distractions or worry about what the other kids might think.
They'll be working with an experienced teacher and be able to learn at his or her own pace from the comfort of their own home!

Sign up for a tutoring package.
Get an assessment and plan from there!
It's easy! We'll start with an assessment and I'l customize a plan from there. You will select a time slot on our calendar, and this will give you the link your child will need to join each session. Packages are monthly and tutoring sessions can be once a week or twice weekly. Assessments are usually done at three month intervals so that progress can be tracked and we can plan continually tailor the instruction to meet the child's needs.
We use Google Meets and Google Classroom. In addition, I use IXL for assessments and other supplemental resources like Readworks.org.
What Are Some Other Things I
Can Do to Help My Child?
I recommend reading with your child and talking to them about what they're reading. Strive to make it fun and engaging. See if they can summarize what they read, pull out key ideas, and make connections to other things they've read or other areas of their lives. There are lots of online resource and apps we can discuss. It's also great if you're able to model a love of reading yourself and I also encourage the use of graphic novels, audiobooks, or books that capture the child's own interests!
